When you think about it, there are a surprising number of similarities between Mario Kart Tour and Metroid Prime 4 really. Both were announced a while back with no media being shown since. Neither have anything other than a name and logo to mark their existence.
And now, it seems both are titles that Nintendo’s not too happy about on a quality level too. That’s because, as announced yesterday, Nintendo is pushing back Mario Kart Tour’s release date to summer 2019 in order to ‘improve the quality of the application and expand the content offerings’ after launch. That’s according to Nintendo of Japan on Twitter, who basically admit to the quality control issues in this very tweet:

So yeah, it seems like Prime 4, Nintendo isn’t too happy with this game either. Wonder if Retro Studios have been drafted in to rework this title as well?
