Earlier this week, Nintendo updated the Nintendo Music app with yet more songs from Mario Kart World. These were various tunes from Mario Kart 7, Tour and Home Circuit, and were part of the ever-expanding free-roam part of the soundtrack.
But now we also know that Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Odyssey remixes from that mode are coming next week too. Why?
Because earlier today, Nintendo leaked the next set of Mario Kart World tracks being added to Nintendo Music. Indeed, right after they announced a few tracks from Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave had been added to the app, they accidentally replied with a post about the Super Mario Sunshine and Odyssey remixes from World being added too!

Yeah, it’s pretty much what you’d expect. A quick rundown of the tracks included, plus a video with some of those remixes included.
But the video was far from finished.
Oh no, it was clearly put out long before anyone at Nintendo had even prepared the relevant announcement.
Since well, despite the post itself talking about Mario Kart World’s remixed Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Odyssey tracks, the actual video featured songs like Rosalina’s Ice World from Mario Kart 7 and Ninja Hideaway from Mario Kart Tour.
So, while the announcement was all drafted up and ready to go, it’s clear the actual video was not.
Regardless, we can now confirm that next week’s Nintendo Music updates include one that adds the Super Mario Sunshine and Super Mario Odyssey remixes from Mario Kart World’s free-roam mode. Thanks Nintendo!
