Last week, Ubisoft posted an interesting update on the Just Dance Twitter account. In that update, they mentioned that content from the ‘Decades of Hits’ game had been leaked online, and that they’d officially be revealing more about it on September 10th 2026.

And at first glance, that seemed pretty innocuous. After all, a Just Dance announcement isn’t that important or interesting, right?
Well, no. Because as it turns out, most Just Dance games get featured in Nintendo Direct presentations. As in, most see major reveals made during those presentations, and nowhere else.
So, the mention of a major announcement almost certainly means a Nintendo Direct is imminent.
With said possibility being even more likely when you realise exactly when most Nintendo Directs take place. Indeed, over the last 14 years, there have only been three years without a major Nintendo Direct in September: 2013, 2015, and 2024:

- 2013: Absent (it was October 1st instead)
- 2014: September 24th
- 2015: Absent (it was November 12th instead)
- 2016: September 1st
- 2017: September 13th
- 2018: September 13th
- 2019: September 4th

- 2021: September 23rd
- 2022: September 13th
- 2023: September 14th
- 2024: Absent
- 2025: September 12th
Hence the September 10th reveal date lines up perfectly with previous Nintendo Direct presentations. It’s 3 days before the most common general Direct date, and in the same ballpark as a major one in just about every year Nintendo has hosted these things.
So, expect a Direct next Thursday. Ubisoft and the power of statistics virtually confirmed it.
