It’s pretty exciting for sure, and makes us wonder: what exactly could be in this trailer? What could Nintendo show that would recapture the excitement of the last video?
Well, quite a few things actually. Firstly, there are quite a few character voices we haven’t heard yet. These include Charlie Day’s Luigi (bar a few short grunts), Anya Taylor-Joy’s portrayal of Peach and Seth Rogen’s take on Donkey Kong to name but a few.
So it would be neat to actually hear these guys. To hear whether they’ve captured the feel of the characters as well as Jack Black and Kevin Michael Richardson did Bowser and Kamek respectively.
And it’d also be nice to see what the hell is going on with the other characters storyline wise too. Okay, Bowser is trying to get the Power Stars for some reason, and Mario has ended up in the Mushroom Kingdom against his will. But what about the others? What exactly is Peach’s role in this film? Where do the Kongs enter the picture? What is Spike’s purpose here?
All these questions (and more) could be answered in a new trailer. So yeah, there’s a lot of potential there.
