Are you a fan of the New Super Mario Bros games? Enjoy playing mods for them like Newer Super Mario Bros Wii or Newer Super Luigi Wii: Dark Moon?
If so, you’re in luck. Tomorrow at 6pm in the UK, the Summer 2026 New Super Mario Bros Modding Direct is premiering over on YouTube. Run by NSMB Wii modder Mone, the presentation showcases various upcoming mods for the games.

It’s an exciting time for sure. There are going to be all sorts of interesting mods and projects based on these games, especially given the level of tech now on offer in those communities.
But what exactly could be included this time around? What mods might be on the agenda in summer 2026?
Well, it’s hard to really be sure. The quantity and quality of mods available for these games has only skyrocketed in recent times, and it’s hard to ever really stay on top of all the games being announced here. For all we know, the next Newer Super Mario Bros style hit could be just around the corner.
However, we’d personally say the following seem like obvious bets here. That at least a few of the games in the list below:
- Infinite Wii
- New Super Mario Lost Worlds
- Sakura Super Mario Bros DS
- Super Mario Bros: Extreme Adventure
- Super Mario Bros Next
- Tricky Super Mario Bros U
Will probably be included in this presentation as well. They’re all big upcoming mods for the game, and far enough into development that footage is available for a video like this. So, they seem like sure-fire inclusions if you ask us.
