In Mario & Luigi: Brothership, one of the limiting factors when it comes to using Battle Plugs is the number of Power Taps you have. These let you use multiple plugs at the same time, and are gained by beating bosses in the Great Lighthouses and Fortress Zokket.
But did you know there’s now a way to get all 5 right away? To use 5 Battle Plugs at once by the middle of the second sea?
Yep, thanks to a new glitch found by Link Cena/The Hero’s Shade, you can now get all of them immediately. Here’s a video explaining how the glitch works…

Tutorial
First, clear Merrygo Island. It’s the island right after you get Battle Plugs, so it’s not particularly far into the game.
Then, make sure your health is low. You don’t technically need to do this, but it’ll take far longer to set up the glitch if you don’t.
Finish Merrygo Island with low health. Or just have low health before starting this tutorial whenever
Now, talk to this NPC to learn about a Battle Plug tutorial he plans to create. Finish the conversation.
Speak to this guy to get him to set up the tutorial
Then, chat with him and start the tutorial. But don’t do anything. Fail your attacks or stall for time.
Start the tutorial by talking to this guy
And let the Seedles defeat Mario and Luigi for a game over.
Let Mario and Luigi get killed/KOed by these enemies
Select the option to retry, then exit the battle.
Retry the fight after dying
Open the menu and go to Set Battle Plugs, and hey presto! You’ll just get given all 5 Power Taps at once!
You’ll get all 5 Power Taps the second you open the menu to set Battle Plugs
No, we’re not missing anything here. That’s the entire setup. You literally just lose a single tutorial battle, and get all 5 Power Taps there and then.
And given you don’t see any unfortunate consequences by actually fighting the Lighthouse bosses in the game (you just don’t get given the Power Tap, and are able to exit the menu and continue just fine), there’s no reason not to do it. You’ve literally doubled or tripled your options in battle immediately.
