How to EASILY Dupe Items in Tears of the Kingdom!

Hey folks, have you ever wanted a way to easily clone items in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? Struggle with the more advanced methods on the latest version, yet have no method to go back to 1.0 or 1.1?

Well, if so, you’re in luck. Because a method has been found to easily dupe items in Tears of the Kingdom, and it’s so ridiculously simple that it baffles us how it wasn’t found until now.

Here’s a video showing how to do it:

As you can see by the length, it’s probably the simplest glitch people have found for TotK in years. In fact, it might be one of the simplest item cloning methods in any Zelda game, TotK or otherwise.

But for those who don’t want to watch the video, here’s the set up in full.

The Setup

First, make sure you have at least 3 of the items you want to clone, plus 1 or more items you’re okay with eating/getting rid of. You want them in the inventory like this:

  1. Sacrificial Item
  2. Items you want to Clone

If you have less than 21 of the latter, it may be easier to drop the item you want rid of first, then pick it up, and repeat with the item you want to dupe.

I think you can also use a trick to store the extra materials in device dispensers if you want too.

Link has 6 Sapphires

Note that we start with 6 Sapphires

Regardless, once your inventory looks like that, fuse one of the items you want to clone to a bow. Then, eat the sacrificial item, and switch to the bows tab. Unequip your bow, and exit the menu.

Fuse Sapphire To Bow

We Fuse a Sapphire to a bow…

Drinking the Sacrificial Milk

We drink the milk prior to the sapphires in the inventory…

Unequip Bow

Then we unequip our bow

Once you re-enter the menu, you’ll notice you now have two slots for the relevant item. Congrats, you’ve split the stack. That’s part 1 of the setup.

Now Have 2 Slots

We now have sapphires in 2 slots

Now, jump into the air and shield jump, ride Mineru’s Construct, or start paragliding. Pause and open the inventory.

Link Shield Jumps Into Air

Link jumps in the air and shield jumps. Gliding works too

Once here, hold up to 5 of the items you want to clone from the second stack. Now, either sort the inventory or view the map, before closing the menu.

Hold Items From Second Slot

We hold 5 sapphires from the second slot

Sorting The Inventory

We sort the inventory before closing it…

The items should fall to the ground. Pick them up, and you’ll now as many more of that type of item as you were holding in the inventory. So, if you had 6 Diamonds before (1 in the first stack and 5 in the second), and held all 5 of the Diamonds in the second stack… you’ll now have 11 Diamonds.

Items Fall To Ground

Once we close the menu, the items fall to the ground

Now Have 11 Sapphires

After we collect them again, we now have 11 sapphires

Congrats. Repeat the process to dupe as many items as you want.

And yeah, that’s literally all there is to it here. It’s not the fastest dupe method in the world, nor the craziest looking in-game. It’s also not as free as saving the game, sending the items to Zelda Notes and withdrawing them again in 24 hours…

But it is super convenient, and something you can do just 1-2 shrines into the game with minimal issues. Just find a place with plenty of free food (like an orchard, or an area with lots of Mushrooms), and repeat the process with your entire inventory. Within a matter of minutes, you’ll have enough gems and dragon parts and Zonai Charges to live like a king for weeks.

Regardless, hope you found this new dupe glitch useful! If you need any help with it (or other glitches in games like this), leave your thoughts in the comments, on social media, or on our Discord server today!
