Earlier this year, Nintendo officially revealed the Switch 2. In that presentation, they showed the system itself (plus a bit of the new Mario Kart game), and promised that they’d release more info about it in a few months’ time.
But now we know exactly when that will be. Why? Because over on the Nintendo Twitter page, the company announced the Direct will be on April 2nd at 2pm UK time. Here’s the announcement from Nintendo UK:

Yeah, it’s a pretty smart bit of timing there. Having the Direct on April the 1st would likely get it mixed up with April Fool’s Day, while having it any later would leave enough time for the console’s hype to die off before the presentation.
So, April 2nd works well here. It’s a good time, and makes sense for this particular announcement.
