Well, it’s official! Right after the game was leaked in a survey, a new WarioWare game has indeed been announced at this year’s E3.
Named WarioWare: Get It Together, the game’s gimmick is that the actual characters will appear in the microgames this time around, and will actually be playable in the microgames themselves. For instance, if 9-Volt hosts a microgame based on Super Mario Bros 1, he’ll take Mario’s place in the game itself, and be able to experience it as if he was Mario himself.
It’s a simple concept, but a neat enough way to tie the actual WarioWare characters and story to the gameplay itself.
And it also allows you to have co-op setups too. Yep, now multiple players can play on screen at once, and work together to solve objectives in microgames. Again, a simple concept, but a pretty neat one nonetheless.
