Next week, the first event for the recently released Pokopia will be officially made available. This event lets players befriend Hoppip and its evolutionary family in game, and will act as the first of many that introduce new species to the popular spinoff.
However, it seems there’s an alternative if you don’t want to wait that long.
Time travel.
Yeah, like Animal Crossing, you can just change the system clock to activate certain events early, letting you activate this stuff well in advance. So, if you want to play the event already, just set the clock to the 9th of March or later and you’re all set. The event is ready to go:
Fun fact. If you put your clock forward on your Switch 2 to the date of the event, you can get Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff early @SerebiiNet https://t.co/zrIxHlVEe2 pic.twitter.com/kh8EPBKAd8

We’re honestly kinda surprised that’s the case really. Would have thought this sort of thing was DLC or something and would be added nearer to the day. The fact it’s not feels like an interesting choice on Nintendo’s part.
And it also makes us wonder if these events will cycle in future too. Maybe the idea is that all the events are available on the card already, and set to go at different points in future. Has anyone tried changing the clock to other months or dates here?
Ah well, we’ll have to wait and see there.
Still, what are your thoughts? Are you going to try this Pokopia event now, or wait until the official ‘release’ day for it next week? What other events do you think the game may have in store here?
