In the last few years or so, Nintendo has been surprisingly good at licensing out their characters for LEGO sets. Indeed, while they turned down proposals for Nintendo themed LEGO sets for decades before then, recent years have seen ones based on both the Super Mario Bros and Legend of Zelda franchises, finally fulfilling longtime fan wishes in the best way possible.
And it seems like another popular series is getting the same treatment. Why? Because earlier today, the official Pokémon Twitter account revealed that Pokémon themed LEGO sets would be announced in the near future. Here’s the teaser for the collaboration:

There’s not much to see just yet, since it’s only a short clip showing part of a LEGO Pikachu animation…
But it’s nice to see nonetheless, and shows that LEGO Pokémon will indeed become a thing in the near future.
So yeah, every one of Nintendo’s biggest series now has a LEGO line associated with it. Let’s hope yet more of their franchises follow suit!
