As shown in this amazing trailer released by 64 Bits this April Fools Day. Here’s the video if you haven’t seen it already:
As you can see, it reimagines everything from the boss battles in the Wind Waker to one of the new scenes in the Breath of the Wild 2 reveal trailer. All of which look amazing, and nail the Paper Mario art style perfectly.
It makes us wish Nintendo would give other series a shot like this to be honest. After all, everything about the Paper Mario series could easily be applied to all manner of Nintendo series, whether it be Zelda, Kirby, Metroid or Pokemon. Add to that the sense of humour, interesting combat system and story setups present, and well, we think all manner of Nintendo franchises could do well with this sort of spinoff.
