So, what will it have in store? What could be announced this time around?
Honestly, who knows. We know barely anything about Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 games post-Christmas 2025, and even those we do know about (like Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment) don’t often have release dates yet.
Hence it’s pretty likely we’ll get a ton of major announcements this time around. Info on at least a few new Mario games and Switch 2 editions. Info on a rumoured Pokémon spinoff that people are talking about. Release dates for Age of Imprisonment and Splatoon Raiders. That kind of thing.
And we’ll also likely get some 40th anniversary info for the Mario series too. After all, it’s always a cause for celebration at Nintendo, and the event just happening to line up with the Direct this week feels too big to be a mere coincidence.
So, yeah, the floodgates are open, and all manner of big Nintendo announcements could be around the corner. Just gotta tune in at 2pm this Friday to learn more!
