If you’re a Mario fan from the Wii era, you likely at least know of Fortune Street. A monopoly style virtual board game where you navigate themed boards and invest in property in hopes of reaching your financial goal, the game was a unique title even by Mario spinoff standards, and one of the few games where Mario and Dragon Quest characters could be playable at the same time.
But have you ever wanted a Kirby version? To play a traditional Fortune Street game set across a variety of Pop Star locales with your favourite Kirby characters?
Well, if so, you’re in luck. Because out of nowhere, a modder called RyanDCB has announced Kirby Street, a full-blown overhaul of the original title giving everything a Kirby coat of paint. Here’s the original trailer from their Twitter page:

This mod of Fortune Street introduces 26 new characters and 18 unique boards to play with, directly from the Kirby franchise!
There are balance changes, custom mii accessories, and you can even play the original Fortune Street boards!

As you can see, it’s pretty much everything you’d want in a Fortune Street game and then some. You’ve got an entirely new roster consisting entirely of Kirby characters, ranging from mainstays like Kirby and King Dedede to random one-offs like Landia and Metal General. You’ve got lots of new Kirby themed boards to play, alongside every single one from the original game. Plus, there are a ton of other little changes here too, like overhauled mini games, new Mii accessories and various gameplay buffs too.
So, there’s plenty to see and do, that’s for sure. Definitely one to check out if you’re a fan of either the Kirby or Fortune Street series!
