We shared a video about Ultrahand being recreated in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time a few months ago. This was by a user called notCHase and made for an impressive recreation of Tears of the Kingdom’s physics in such a limited engine.
But it seems like he wasn’t content to stop with Ultrahand. No, he’s also remade a few other Tears of the Kingdom abilities for Ocarina of Time.
Such as the topic of today’s article, Fuse. Yep, notCHase has fully recreated the Fuse ability in the game, complete with all sorts of crazy effects! Here’s the video showing it in action:
As you can see, there’s way more to it than you’d otherwise expect. You can attach signs to swords to make them gusters, which can blow around NPCs and obstacles. You can use Gossip Stones as rockets, blasting Link into the air when he guards or shooting him across the ground when he ducks.
And you can even fuse enemies and NPCs to said items too! So, if you want to use a Freezard as an elemental weapon, or have an entire guard stuck on the end of your sword, that’s all possible here.
It’s awesome to see, and opens up all sorts of crazy gameplay opportunities as a result.
So yeah, kudos to notCHase for recreating Fuse from Tears of the Kingdom. You’ve done an amazing job with it here, and we’re excited to see how things like Ascend could work in the same engine.
