Jungle Beat Kongs Head to DK Bananza’s Emerald Rush Soon

Jungle Beat Kongs Head to DK Bananza’s Emerald Rush Soon

With Donkey Kong Bananza’s latest Emerald Rush event in full swing, and statues of Lanky Kong and Chunky Kong up for grabs, it was only a matter of time before Nintendo announced what the next one would bring to the game. Which familiar Donkey Kong characters would be getting statues next, and what layer you’d have to play on to obtain them.

As it turns out, the answer is Jungle Beat. Or more precisely, two of the evil Kongs from that game.

Since according to the Japanese Nintendo site, the next event will feature statues of ‘Bushido Kong’ (Ninja Kong) and ‘Final Kong’ (Ghastly King) to collect in-game. It’ll take place on the Landfill Layer from December 16th to December 23rd 2025.

So, yeah. It seems like Jungle Beat content is on the table as far as Bananza statues are concerned. Which makes us wonder…

What other games could be included here?

Because we already know that Donkey Kong 64 characters and elements are on the table. We already know that classic Donkey Kong Country ones are possible, as are ones from Donkey Kong Bananza itself.

Hence with Jungle Beat characters joining the lineup, it seems like the whole series could get represented by these statues. The Retro games could lead us to see characters like Tiki Kong or Lord Fredrick added in statue form. The remakes on GBA could potentially bring statues of Kerozene or Kroctopus.

And heck, given there’s already a banana shaped Fractone on the DK Island map, we wouldn’t be surprised to see things from Paon’s spinoffs appear in statue form too. Perhaps Xananab could be a good statue choice? Or one of the game’s bosses could get their time in the limelight?

Regardless, the possibilities are endless, and we’re all here for it. So yeah, what do you think about the event? Are you excited to see more Donkey Kong characters get statues added via these Emerald Rush events? What familiar faces do you think we’ll see next year?
