Namely, it’s being released on the 6th of November 2025. So, don’t worry folks, if you thought Age of Imprisonment was getting delayed till 2026, that’s not the case here. The game is indeed hitting the 2025 holiday season as originally intended.
We also got a new trailer for the title too:

Plus, some very nice artwork of the main characters:
So, they’re definitely stepping up a gear with the marketing. Yet despite this, something still seems off here. Something still seems… unexciting about Age of Imprisonment.
And we’re not sure what it is exactly. Gameplay and story wise it’s exactly what it needs to be, with more new content than Age of Calamity ever had. Artwork wise, it looks better than ever, with Ganondorf’s art being some of the demon king’s most menacing. Heck, we know full well we’ll enjoy this game once it’s here, because we loved Age of Calamity and Tears of the Kingdom.
It’s just we feel so apathetic to it overall. Maybe it’s burnout, maybe it’s being tired of the wild era and the same art style for the 4th time in a row. Who knows, it just isn’t hitting the way it should do right now.
Regardless, we’ve now a release date of November 6th. So, if you want to play through the Imprisoning War in the Hyrule Warriors style, the time’s nearly here for that!
