Donkey Kong Bananza’s First Event Starts Soon

Donkey Kong Bananza’s First Event Starts Soon

When the DLC for Donkey Kong Bananza released, fans noticed an interesting detail on the official website. That being, the Emerald Rush game mode would apparently be getting events over time, with each adding exclusive new statues to the game.

It was a surprising inclusion for an otherwise standard adventure game, and one which led a lot of people to wonder when said events would take place.

Well, it seems we have our answer. Why? Because the first event for Donkey Kong Bananza has now been announced, and is scheduled to take place from October 28th to November 4th. Titled Chip Rush, the event has players smashing through DK Island and trying to achieve high scores in hopes of obtaining the Enguarde and Kong Bananza statues mentioned on the official site.

Here’s the announcement about it from Nintendo themselves:

Get in-game statues of Enguarde from the Donkey Kong Country series and Kong Bananza from Donkey Kong Bananza in an Emerald Rush event! This event, exclusive to the DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC, will run from October 28th, 08:00 (UK time) until November 4th, 07:59 (UK time). Unlike in standard Emerald Rush, normally random elements – such as the Skills you get from Banandium Gems – will be pre-determined.

Additionally, they also updated the game in advance of that event too. This isn’t a major update, but as the patch notes suggest, it does fix a few minor bugs nonetheless:

  • Fixed the issue causing Pauline’s voice not to play at times when acquiring a fossil in Ver. 2.0.0 and Ver. 2.0.1.
  • Several other changes have been made and issues addressed to improve the gameplay experience.

So yeah, it seems like DK Bananza events are now upon us, with the first one happening next week. Here’s hoping for even more craziness in the months ahead!
