Well folks, it’s happened again. Just like with every major Nintendo title in the Switch era, Donkey Kong Bananza has now leaked online, with early buyers sharing pictures of new enemies and areas that the company really doesn’t want made public. What’s more, while the actual files aren’t available at the moment due to the Switch 2’s better security measures, what we do see is very interesting in its own right too.
So, if you want to avoid spoilers, now’s the time to get off social media. The pictures are spreading like wildfire over there, and you’re gonna get spoiled sooner rather than later if you’re not careful.

Okay, the interesting reveal in these leaks is that VoidCo might not be the real antagonists. That someone far more iconic is actually waiting for their big comeback.
Yep, the fans were right. King K Rool is making his return to the franchise! Here’s a picture that seems to show his new design in game:

Wow, what can we even say here? After years of Donkey Kong games avoiding the enemies from the original SNES trilogy, it seems like they’re all back in full force for this game. What’s more, given that there are references to everything from Klobbers to KAOS, it appears that Bananza is going all out in bringing the past back to life. The Kremlings are back baby, and the fanbase can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the characters they loved haven’t been forgotten forever.

What’s more, it seems like the rumours are 100% confirmed true as well. Why?
Because not only have multiple leakers backed them up, but Nintendo themselves have copyright struck a tweet featuring this new picture of King K Rool in the game.

So, yeah. Congrats guys. You’ve taken a leak that could easily have been written off as fan speculation, AI or image editing, and all but confirmed its validity in seconds. You’ve gotta love lawyer shortsightedness, right?
Regardless, those are the leaks for Donkey Kong Bananza. Apparently King K Rool and the Kremlings are returning in the new game, and it’s the Donkey Kong Country revival fans have wanted for decades here. So, what do you think about it all?
