I’m sorry, but I have no words. Apparently, this game:
Has been approved for the Wii U eShop by Nintendo, as mentioned by its author. It will be available to buy before Christmas…
Goodbye Nintendo quality control standards!
No, not available to buy and listen to. That’d probably make too much sense for Nintendo.
Instead, to celebrate the Halloween season, they’ve got Gloomy Manor’s theme music from Dark Moon playing as you browse and purchase games. Here’s a video showing it in action (so to speak):
Personally? I kind of like it. Okay, I’d probably prefer the tune from Haunted Towers or Treacherous Mansion myself (since their theme songs are much better than the Gloomy Manor one ever was), but hey, it’s nice to see Luigi’s Mansion 2 getting such attention this time of year.
You can find the full theme (as taken from the original game) in the full article after the break, if you just feel like hearing it again.
Don’t own Super Smash Bros for 3DS yet? Want to try out the game for free? Happen to live in Japan?
Well if so, you’d better be quick; Nintendo of Japan has posted that the demo will be removed from the eShop on October 31st. Here’s the official announcement about it, along with a translation to English:
Super Smash Bros for 3DS is available on the eShop until October 31st. Please try it now if you don’t want to miss out.
And as we all know… where Nintendo of Japan goes, Nintendo in other regions follows. So we can likely expect the demo to be removed from the English eShop services some time near the end of this year, perhaps even mere days from the Japanese end date.
Better test out that demo if you don’t own the game and haven’t tried it already!
Ever kind of looked at the Wii and DS game libraries and wished Nintendo still had that ‘Seal of Quality’ thing? Or desperately started praying that the flood of crap found on the app store’s of the mobile phone world wouldn’t make it’s way to the 3DS and Wii U? Well, you could just be about to have another breakdown, because this new ‘indie’ title looks to be one of the worst games ever released on a Nintendo system. And trust me, in an age where Torchlight and Fireplacing actually existed… that’s actually saying something.
Just look at Meme Run:
See that low quality piece of flash game like crap? Well… according to the developer… it’s coming to the Wii U eShop.
Which in case you’re wondering, goes along with their future focus on more than just fan games, such as entirely original indie titles for services like the 3DS and Wii U eShop (hopefully).
So why the change, at this time of any? Well, put simply… the Spriter’s Resource was having quite a few issues over the last few weeks, and because of that, Fusion Fangaming was basically down for over a month. Hence a new webhost (which has nothing to do with TSR) and name were in order as a way of reviving the site and removing the reliance on a third party with their own technical issues to resolve.
Want to read the original announcement about this? Find the link to their new site? Hear my thoughts on the change of address and (future) focus? If so, keep reading!Continue Reading…
