Wii U Gets A New System Update

Rejoice! The Wii U system is getting a new update, called firmware update, 5.5.5. No doubt you’ll want to bust out your dusty Wii U and get that done, but then again you most likely haven’t used it in years or no longer have one. The update added the following thing:

Improvements to system stability and usability

Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.

It is odd that Nintendo decided to release an update for a pretty much confirmed dead console, one glance at the Wii U Homebrew community shows the update not messing with any of their hacking exploits. So this update most likely is just setting the stage to end any existing services still running on the Wii U.

Whatever the reason, it is nice to see Nintendo still thinking about the Wii U, when they most likely never want to think of it again.

So will you update your Wii U? Do you still even had it (or get one?) Let us know below, on the forum or on Discord!
