UK Deal; Buy a 3DS XL, Get Super Mario 3D Land Free!

No, that title isn’t a joke or incorrect.  Nintendo UK really is doing some deal with Amazon where you can buy a 3DS XL and get a completely free digital copy of Super Mario 3D Land immediately afterwards.  Want to know how this thing works?  Well, keep reading and you’ll find out!

Here’s how the deal works:

  1. You buy a 3DS XL and one of 15 eligible games (or the Mario Kart 7/Zelda 3DS XL bundle, since they automatically come with a game valid for the deal).  This has to be done between November 27nd 2013 and January 13th 2014.
  2. Next, log in to Club Nintendo and check banner for promotional code
  3. Use your download before 10:59 PM on March 13th 2014 to get a free copy of Super Mario 3D Land

They also have a nice video explaining the offer…

In other words, if you’ve bought one ‘good’ 3DS game in the last few years and own a 3DS XL that hasn’t been registered yet, you’re now entitled to a free copy of Super Mario 3D Land.  Here are the games that are eligible for the offer…

  • The Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds
  • Animal Crossing New Leaf
  • Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy
  • Pokemon X
  • Pokemon Y
  • Mario Kart 7
  • Luigi’s Mansion 2/Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon
  • New Super Mario Bros 2
  • Lego City Undercover the Chase Begins
  • Bravely Default
  • Fire Emblem Awakening
  • Mario & Luigi Dream Team
  • Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
  • Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Edition
  • Sonic Lost World

It’s not exactly a list of games that no one’s ever heard of, is it?  Seriously, every single title on that list is a game which is seen by a significant amount of people as one of the best games on the system, so the deal pretty much includes every single 3DS owner in the country.  So if you live here, you pretty much now have a 100% chance of getting a new game for absolutely nothing.

And so if you like Nintendo and their games or just own a 3DS XL and live in the UK, go and get this deal today.
