The 3DS isn’t powerful enough for NES Remix 2?

Well, that’s roughly why Nintendo are saying the game wasn’t released for said system.  They actually argue that ‘it’d require more machine power’ than the 3DS is supposedly capable of.

Here’s their quote:

But, if you step into the shadows a bit more, in order to accomplish what we wanted with NES Remix, and get the effect we wanted out of it and the value that we wanted it to have, we needed some more machine power.

It’s just that the Wii U had the machine power we were looking for in order for us to build the software we envisioned from the get go

But what do I think about this?  Well, I’ll put it this way… I don’t buy any of this reasoning, and you can find out why in the full post…

Firstly, I see nothing in NES Remix 2 that couldn’t be done on an old Nintendo system.  I mean, look at this trailer a minute people:

There is nothing there that requires a Wii U.  Indeed, do you know what I think could run this game perfectly fine?

The SNES or GBA.  Seriously, I’m not kidding.  A good programmer (especially a Nintendo one) could replicate everything in NES remix on such a 16 bit system…

Think I’m kidding?

All this runs on a SNES:

As does this:

And that’s just the start of it.  The GBA could probably run it, it did run whole first person shooters after all:

The Nintendo 64 could run it.  Especially with the expansion pack, unless you’re forgetting how big the likes of Banjo Tooie was:

The DS?  Easy.

And the 3DS?  Are you kidding me?  Of course it could run NES Remix fairly easily. Just look at Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon:

Or Kid Icarus Uprising:

To say that it’d be difficult to make a simplistic retro game like NES Remix for this console but not one of the masterpieces shown above is absurd.  The only reason it’s truly not on the 3DS is because Nintendo thought the Wii U needed the game more, end of.  Or because they don’t seem to understand this little thing called ‘make games and downloadable software work across all systems of a generation instead of console locking them’.

But what do you think of NES Remix 2 and the claims it’d be hard to do on the 3DS?

Lol this reminds me of when Nintendo said it wasn’t possible to have a Co-op adventure in Super Mario 64 but then years later fan programmers actually accomplished it. Also I agree Kid Icarus: Uprising is a masterpiece. One of my favorite games of all time on the 3DS!!

1: Nintendo said they didn’t do it due to time constraints and couldn’t get it to work properly
2: Have you played it? It runs into the same problems Nintendo said they didn’t put it in for: fucked up camera angles and random freezing.

Yeah, that is bullshit. Nintendo could make the NES Remix games run on the 3ds, they just don’t want to. I would rather them say that they don’t think they would sell on the 3ds than say that they couldn’t do it.

3DS Man

Nintendo are a pack of dirty liars. Next thing you know they’ll do a GBA remix and put it on Wii U DESPITE the fact gameboys are hand-held. Freakin nitwit Nintendo douchebags.

“The look of the game defines how big it is guys!”
“Obviously programming is just some tiny part of the game!”
“A ROM hack that runs on an emulator which is obviously more powerful than a SNES means Nintendo is incompetent and they’re reasoning doesn’t make any sense!”

My fucking god, this site is full of shit.
