Sorry, the third Nintendo exclusive Sonic game won’t arrive this year

Yeah, we get it.  We said it would a few weeks ago based on what we considered a reliable source (Nintendo themselves).  But now however, Sega has confirmed to IGN editor Rich George that said third title won’t be released this year and that the rumours mentioned before are false.

Been busy but just re-confirmed with SEGA that the ‘third’ Sonic game in Nintendo’s three-game deal will not arrive in 2013.
