Satoru Iwata is not Attending E3?
According to a recent statement on Nintendo’s Japanese site, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata will not be attending E3 this year.
Pretty surprising news, isn’t it? After all, E3 is literally the biggest event in the gaming calendar, and one you’d logically want to send your CEO and other important staff members to. But apparently Satoru Iwata is staying behind in Japan instead (to focus on other parts of the business), while Miyamoto and the other Nintendo staff go off over there and report news back to him as it comes in.
So what do you think? Is Satoru Iwata’s decision not to attend E3 a wise one? Could we have the first ever Nintendo Direct presentation where Iwata doesn’t play any sort of part in the video? And if you were running Nintendo, would you go to E3 ever year? Post your thoughts in the comments below or at Gaming Reinvented’s beta forums today!
