Rune Factory 4’s European Release Cancelled

Well, this totally sucks in every way possible. Yep, it now turns out Rune Factory 4 will not be released in Europe as mentioned by MarvelousAQ in a press release, leaving Europe the only existing Nintendo region to not be getting the game in any shape or form.  So keep reading to hear the bad news for yourself…

We regret to inform you that the European release of Rune Factory 4 for Nintendo 3DS has been cancelled

While MarvelousAQL has made every effort to secure the title’s release for this territory, it is, unfortunately, not possible to do so at this time.
MAQL and MAQL Europe would like to thank everyone for their support and enthusiasm for their European releases. Please look forward to announcements on new MAQL titles over the coming months.
And so thanks to the pointless existing of region locking on Nintendo systems, the game is now pretty much impossible for anyone in Europe to play without spending a huge amount of money on importing a new system as well as the game.  Thanks a bunch.
But what do you think of this terrible news?

This is exactly why region locking needs to be removed from Nintendo systems. Is it really that hard for them? Sony and Microsoft can do it. I really don’t want to have to buy an American 3DS if I want to play Rune Factory and a Japanese 3DS if I want to play Japanese imports.

All I’m getting from this is that Nintendo are just money-hungry.
