Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire; Artwork, Information and More!
What’s more, this stuff isn’t from the E3 trailer or presentation, but a few interesting releases of information by Nintendo afterwards. We’ve got new artwork of the Hoenn starter Mega Evolutions and villain team, information on Primal Grouden and Kyogre’s stats and forms and much more, so keep reading to see it for yourself!
Let’s start with the new Mega Evos for the Hoenn starter evolutions.
I left out Mega Blaziken for obvious reason (it’s already available in X and Y), but still, the others look cool, don’t they? But that’s not all, oh no…
We’ve also got a bunch of art of the villain teams! Here’s what Team Magma and Aqua now look like in these remakes. In higher quality too!
Maxie, and two Team Magma admins.
Team Magma grunts.
Team Magma in game (including the scenes when their grunts challenge to the player to a battle).
The Team Magma symbol.
Archie and two Aqua admins.
Team Aqua grunts.
Team Aqua in game (including two of their grunts challenging the player to a battle).
Their villain team symbol.
There’s also some nice general pictures showing off the region in general. Oh wow, it does look pretty nice!
Finally, some random pictures of Steven Stone. Yeah, I can’t say much about this game, cause I never really played the original Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire.
So what else is interesting outside of the above pictures? Well, how about the official Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire website? It just launched recently, and has some pretty neat information. The link is here:
Some stuff from there that could be interesting:
Primal Grouden is Ground/Fire type. So now his fire moves have STAB, which is a nice improvement. It also gives him some more strengths and resistances, even if it makes Water attacks twice as likely to KO him in the process.
It also explains their names/the powers origin:
It was a primal age, early in the world’s history. The natural world was overflowing with energy. That energy granted Groudon and Kyogre an overwhelming power. Seeking ever more of that energy for themselves, the two clashed again and again, and their battles cast the people and Pokémon of Hoenn into great danger. Brimming with the overwhelming power granted to them by nature’s energy, their transformation was named “Primal Reversion” by later people. And the people called their tormentors Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre…
As well as some Mega Diancie art and stuff. It’s official artwork is here:
And more info can be found on the site. Interesting, both it and Primal Grouden/Kyogre all have their ability listed as ???, indicating that they’ll be getting new abilities when they power up.
So yes, that’s the latest stuff from Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Pretty cool, isn’t it? Does any of this artwork or screenshots make you more excited for the new games?
