Nintendo Power confirmed to be shut down soon

Straight from Nintendo themselves this quote, in case there was any doubt left:

Nintendo can confirm that Future US will end the production of Nintendo Power magazine with the last issue slated for December 2012.

Well, it was nice when it was going the last 25 or so years, but I guess everything has to come to an end.  Also, Nintendo of America are asking for your memories of Nintendo Power on Twitter, if you needed even more proof.
