New Nintendo Direct coming May 17th (tomorrow)!

Nintendo of America have just announced a new Nintendo Direct presentation that will be held on Friday the 17th of May and cover both Wii U and 3DS games.  Here’s their promotional image about it they’ve posted online:

Nintendo of Europe have also announced one for the same day, as can be seen on their Nintendo Direct website here:

Nintendo Direct is coming soon! Make sure you tune in to this global presentation on the Wii U software coming this spring and summer. Check back here on Friday, May 17th at 3 p.m. (UK time) to watch the broadcast live!

Given that’s now been announced in multiple regions and covers both systems, I’m assuming something extremely important is going to be shown for the first time tomorrow.  In fact, I’m going to go a bit further and place my bets that these games will be covered:

  1. Game and Wario (release date is in June)
  2. Mario & Luigi Dream Team (release date is in June)
  3. Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D (release date is this month)
  4. Mario Golf World Tour
  5. And possibly the likes of Pokemon X and Y and Yoshi’s Island 3.  Maybe A Link to the Past 2 considering it’s due out this year.

I’m also going to go out on a limb and say that we’ll see something pretty… big tomorrow as well.  A brand new game for either the 3DS or Wii U (albeit one that’s not E3 material), maybe a new Metroid, Kirby, Donkey Kong or Wario game could be said title.

Either way, remember to tune into Nintendo Direct tomorrow at 3PM to see all the new Wii U and 3DS announcements.  Nintendo 3DS Daily will also be covering the games with a liveblog on this site if you’re interested in that as well.
