3DS Game Download sizes confirmed

Want to know how many blocks or megabytes the likes of Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7 or the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D take up when downloaded from the Nintendo eShop?  Well here’s your answer, in the form of a chart and a list:

A bit confused?  Here’s a list telling you how big each of the above games is:

Animal Crossing: 8,192 blocks (1 GB)
Mario Tennis Open: 4,096 blocks (512 MB)
Mario & Sonic at the London Olympics: 4,096 blocks (512 MB)
Mario Kart 7: 8,192 blocks (1 GB)
Super Mario 3D Land: 4,096 blocks (512 MB)
Hana to Ikimono no Rittai Zukan: 8,192 blocks (1 GB)
Star Fox 64 3D: 5,120 blocks (640 MB)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D: 4,096 blocks (512 MB)
Pilotwings Resort: 1,024 blocks (128 MB)

As you can see, the Nintendo 64 remakes are some of the more practical games to download, although those of you with a small SD card are probably not going to be able to download many games regardless.

But if you need to conserve the amount of space on your SD card, I guess the above information might be useful.

P.S. Why would anyone even bother download Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games?  I’d think the appeal of said time would have completely worn off now the event’s over and London’s unlikely to ever host it again in less than 50 or so years.
