As a couple of people have pointed out in recent videos, The Legend of Zelda Tri Force Heroes has some secret ‘songs’ that only play when you play tennis in the ‘Music Ball’ minigame. In other words, you swipe a crystal orb back and forth, and the game suddenly starts playing music from Majora’s Mask for whatever reason. It’s interesting enough, but it appeared to be only one song.
But it seems that’s not actually the case! Oh no, The Legend of Zelda Tri Force Heroes actually has 5 classic Zelda songs in it, all of which can be heard here:
So what are the songs? They are as follows:
- Dark World Theme (A Link to the Past)
- Clock Town (Majora’s Mask)
- Lorule Castle (A Link Between Worlds)
- Lon Lon Ranch (Ocarina of Time)
- Overworld theme (Legend of Zelda)
And if you want to hear each individually? Well, here you go. Here are each of the songs on their own, as taken from the above video:
The whole deal kind of reminds me of A Link Between Worlds and how that game’s music player covered the Ballad of the Goddess from Skyward Sword.
Either way, it’s great that Tri Force Heroes has these tunes, and even better that so much of the series is represented through them. It’s a lovely nod to the older games, included in a way that’s both subtle and somewhat enjoyable for the players.
