Remember yesterday when we talked about Nesbox coming to the Xbox One? Or how you’d be able to emulate NES, SNES, Mega Drive and Game Boy games on it?
Well, it seems like that’s not happening anything. According to the official Twitter page for the emulator’s team, Microsoft wants them to remove Xbox One support. Windows support? That’s fine, but Xbox One support is apparently out of the question.
Here’s the tweet with the news update mentioned:
Microsoft says: "Your product was unpublished globally or from specific markets". They want me to remove xbox platform support and republish

It’s pretty disappointing news overall.
However, as disappointing as it may be, it’s also not exactly unexpected. After all, Nintendo likely doesn’t want their games playable on an Xbox One, and Microsoft likely doesn’t want to completely alienate them by allowing this.
So yeah, no Nesbox on Xbox One. You’ll have to find other ways to run Nintendo ROMs on Xbox systems.
